As muslim faithful across the globe celebrate this year's Eid-El-Kabri, The Chairman of Oguns Investment, a subsidiary of Rainbow Tech Construction Company, Alhaji Waheed Ogunbiyi, has described Eid-el-Kabir as a symbolic pillar of Islam that embodies obedience, piety, hope and communal unity.
In his message to the muslim faithful during an interview session with journalists in his Lagos residence, the business mogul said the moment signifies a time of obeddience, sacrifice, charity and unity.
"When Prophet Ibrahim attempted to sacrifice his son to show obedience, Allah sent Angel Jibril to substitute a ram. That act established the practice of animal sacrifice that Muslims observe today,” he said.
Alhaji Oguns stressed the need for both leaders and followers to remain selfless and be law abiding which he described as key toward achieving socio-economic growth of any nation.
"Eid-El-Kabri is a traditional practice by all muslim faith and this year is not an exception but we need to obey God's commandment just as Proohet Ibrahim did during his time so as to experience Allah's mercy in all our endeavors'
