Hosts Morocco kicked off their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Comoros after a delightful opening ceremony in Rabat.
It was a beautiful evening of football as well as light, sound, and performing arts at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah.
After the beautiful scenes of the opening ceremony and speeches from FIFA president Gianni Infantino and CAF president Patrice Motsepe, the games began!
Morocoo had a fine chance in the first half when they were awarded a penalty, but Comoros keeper Yannick Pandor saved the shot from Soufiane Rahimi.
