Eid-El-Mbarak: Nigerian Leaders Need Prayers for Economic Recovery, Clerics urge Nigerians

 

As Nigeria joins other part of the world to celebrate this year's Sallah celebration, some Islamic clerics have urged Nigerians to use the period as a time of  sacrifice to pray for the leaders of the country for divine wisdom and knowledge toward recovering the economic of the country.

The Baba Adini of Ajiran community in Eti-Osa Local government area in Lagos, Alhaji Yekini Olawale Bakare gave this message during the 2024 Eid-El_Kabir celebration in his Lagos residence.

The Islamic cleric said, "Nigeria is a big entity, and it will require the total support of the citizens toward their leaders for them to take the nation's economy to a greater level. Let us use this Sallah celebration as a time of sacrifice to remember all our leaders in prayer so that God can give them the wisdom to take the country from the present economic downturn"

Alhaji Bakare further used the celebration to urge the youth to embrace patience and live a worthy life as this will enable them achieve all their potential  dream. "Our youths should emulate a virtuous life of the elderly ones, they should desist from drug abuse and fraudulent act, as this will only destroy their brighter  future" 


Also speaking, Alhaji Waheed Ogunbiyi Chairman OGUNS  Investment in his message urged Nigerians to embrace the act of promise fulfilment which he said is the key to societal growth. "Let us emulate the habit of fulfilling promises, when a leader make  promises to his followers, he should fulfill them  and when the followers also make promises, they should also fulfill, this will take our society to a greater height"

He also used the moment to call on all Muslim faithful to emulate the faith and leadership quality of Prophet Muhammed who served Allah diligently during his time, he pointed out  that there is reward for anyone who  obey the commandments of almighty Allah.
