The Yaba College of Technology Muslim Community has urged leaders across all sectors to exemplify quality leadership skills across all sectors in the country.
The call was made during a one day seminar organized by the religious body of the institution in Lagos where stakeholders in the academic field gathered to recommend the best approach toward achieving quality service delivery by leaders.
The guest speaker Prof. Rahmon Ade Bello former VC, University of Lagos , Akoka Lagos in his speech charged the new rector of Yabatech Dr. Ibrahim Adedotun Abdul to remain committed and exemplify quality leadership skills while discharging his duty.
“Be accommodating, equitable, just, very friendly but be firm and above all be yourself”.
Also the rector of the college Dr. Adedotun Abdulin in his speech appreciated the gathering of the various intellects for their support towards ensuring better results for his administration and promised to do his best in taking the institution to a greater height.
“As is been expected from leaders is for you to be able to perform, now that I have listened to other past leaders and I have listened to my community too, so I know from them, they are expecting a just, fair leadership that I have committed myself to deliver to them”, the new rector noted.
The event is titled” Leadership expectations and challenges in higher educational institutions.
